Twiggy8520 aka Paul Huxen is a illustrator/designer from the land of essex
In spite of coming from the social and creative wasteland that is Basildon, Paul has managed to create a hybrid of traditional and digital work, combining the best qualities of each technique and using them to create a unique style.
His main areas of focus are illustration, traditional print, moveable type, uses of letraset and typewriters. He focuses on how the textures and tactile qualities of the materials affect his work, he wants people to reach out and physically touch and interact with his work be it a book, a pack a cards, a plush toy or a paper origami model. He uses his macabre sense of humour in his work also, to create light-hearted yet informative pieces.
Paul is currently working as a freelance designer and finishing his degree in graphic design and in September endeavours to continue his studies with a MA Graphic Design course.
